Our Northern Galapagos Yacht Itinerary sets off with a tour of Santa Cruz Island’s gorgeously green highlands, home to giant tortoises. Following that, we’re off to Santiago Island and Chinese Hat Islet, each of which provides Guests with mesmerizing insights into the beauty and life that exists in the archipelago. The next day, we’ll awaken to the gorgeous Genovesa Island — with its massive crater that we sail into — and its plethora of bird species, with exciting moments on land and in the sea. Lastly, we visit Santa Fe and South Plaza Islands, both of which provide a unique look into several unique species and beautiful landscapes.

Traditionalists will enjoy feeling at home with a crew that has remained almost unchanged for years, leading to seamless attention to detail that will make your stay extra special. With just 20 guest cabins, the yacht’s convivial atmosphere leads to a close-up experience of this unique world. On board, guests find delicious cuisine, faultless service and excellent facilities, including a Hut Tub, fitness room, bar and outside deck for al fresco meals, drinks, and sunbathing. Your groups can expect top facilities and equipment, delicious meals, and safe and stimulating expert-planned expeditions on the islands. Scout the island sites for Big 15 wildlife in groups that average no more than 11-14 guests per naturalist guide which surpass the National Park standard, which permits up to 16 guests per guide. Explore the coast with your guides on our pangas, glass-bottom boat or kayaks, or get wet and snorkel. In 2018 Isabela II has undergone a 360-degree renovation. Our social areas have had some major changes. In our guest hallways, windows have been replaced and an aesthetic makeover will have our guests making their way about in a warm and modern atmosphere. Our library, which has also been beautified, has been enriched with new literature on natural history. Cabins have received an extreme makeover to provide greater comfort for our guests. In addition, we have listened to our explorers and acquired new expedition gadgets to make their trip a more enriching adventure. Itinerary



Day 1 - DAY 1 Baltra Island & Santa Cruz Island
After landing, we drive to the Itabaca Channel to take a ferry to Santa Cruz Island. A 30-minute bus ride takes us to the Highlands. Highlands of Santa Cruz Island After lunch, we drive to a reserve to see giant tortoises in their natural habitat. Then a bus ride takes us to Puerto Ayora to board Yacht Isabela II.
Day 2 - DAY 2 Santiago Island & Chinese Hat Islet
Puerto Egas (Santiago Island) Following a wet landing on a black, sandy beach, our trail takes us to enjoy close-up encounters with land iguanas, land and marine birds, and fur seals. Chinese Hat Islet This islet makes for a beautiful visit as we explore the wildlife along its 1,312 ft-long (400 m-long) trail. The cove offers excellent swimming and snorkeling opportunities amid white-tipped reef sharks and Galapagos penguins.
Day 3 - DAY 3 Genovesa Island
Prince Philip's Steps (Genovesa Island) After a panga (dinghy) ride along the cliffs of "Bird Island," we land at a steep staircase. Walking along the trail, we can spot Nazca boobies, red-footed boobies, great frigatebirds, and storm petrels. Snorkeling and kayaking activities are available. Darwin Bay (Genovesa Island) We land after lunch at the beautiful white beach of Darwin Bay. Here we walk amid hundreds of birds- frigatebirds, red-footed and Nazca boobies, and plenty more.
Day 4 - DAY 4 Santa Fe Island & South Plaza Island
Santa Fe Island We take the dinghy over to this idyllic sandy-white beach populated by colonies of sea lions. The Santa Fe land iguana may be spotted. We can snorkel and swim or ride the glass-bottom boat after the walk. South Plaza Island Following lunch and a rest, we disembark (dry landing) in this channel. We find sea lion colonies along the coastline while frigates, swallow-tailed gulls, and shearwaters glide.
Day 5 - DAY 5 Baltra Island
Our journey ends at Baltra Island, where we transfer to the airport to take the flight back to the mainland.
