Vessel Type: Riverboat Passenger Capacity: 187 Built: 2018 The American River Cruise revolution continues with American Harmony, the newest ship in American Cruise Lines’ highly anticipated series of contemporary riverboats. These, the first modern riverboats ever in the U.S., have introduced many pioneering innovations to America’s waters. American Harmony will feature lounges soaring 40 feet above the water with triple the glass of other riverboats for astounding views. The new riverboat will also feature the Atrium, a four-story glass-enclosed area with a large domed skylight, which will serve as the central gathering point for the entire ship. Our new suite design will allow for unprecedented comfort while traveling, beginning with the new Grand Suites featuring 900 square feet of private space. These spacious suites include two glass walls and a wraparound private balcony. Complimentary room service during select mealtimes is available for every stateroom, but the Grand Suites offer ample space to host small cocktail parties or private dinner events. American Harmony will continue American Cruise Lines’ decade's long tradition for innovation in river cruising. With a capacity of just 187 guests, this new ship has the modern design features and contemporary styling that today’s traveler has come to expect. Day 1 - Pre-Cruise Memphis, TN
Arrive the day before your scheduled cruise date and American Cruise Lines will handle the rest. Enjoy a 1-night premium hotel stay in the heart of downtown, within walking distance to shops, theatres, and restaurants, where you can explore the city at your leisure. On the morning of the cruise, meet in the hotel lobby after breakfast and we will transport you to the ship to begin your cruise. All luggage will be brought directly from the hotel and placed in your stateroom aboard the ship.*Pre-Cruise Package is not available for reservations made within 30 days of cruise date.
Day 2 - Day 1 Memphis, TN
Welcome to Memphis! Home to Blues, BBQ, Beale Street, and of course, the King of Rock 'n Roll - Elvis Presley. This amazing city is the perfect place to begin your Mississippi River Voyage. Come a day or two early and immerse yourself in sights, sounds, and tastes of this exciting destination.
Day 3 - Day 2 Day of River Cruising
Enjoy the warmth of the Mississippi River sun as we cruise from Memphis to Vicksburg. Relax in one of the many spacious lounges or catch gentle breezes on the sun deck.
Day 4 - Day 3 Vicksburg, MS
The city of Vicksburg served as a pivotal turning point during the American Civil War. Come with us as our informative historian leads us through the National Military Park, commemorating the campaign, siege, and defense of Vicksburg. Our expert guides and park rangers will take you to battlefields, the U.S.S. Cairo gunboat, and the most significant historic places.
Day 5 - Day 4 Natchez, MS
Settled in 1716, Natchez is rich in history and southern hospitality. Enjoy a guided exploration of this fascinating city which has retained its antebellum charm since its surrender during the Civil War. Visit Frogmore, a historic cotton plantation still in use today, or attend a special piano concert in the J. N. Stone antebellum music room.
Day 6 - Day 5 St. Francisville, LA
This southern town charms with simple pleasures and unique treasures. Located on the bluffs of the Mississippi River, St. Francisville has been called, “One of the 200 most beautiful small towns in America.” Take a stroll through its historic center where two centuries of architecture and lifestyle are on display. Enjoy visits to restored antebellum mansions including Rosedown.
Day 7 - Day 6 Baton Rouge, LA
Baton Rouge features all the history and wonder you would expect in a state capital, but with an added down-home flavor that makes it truly unique. Our local expert guides will take you on a tour of the cities' most famous attractions including the Old and New State Capitals and the interactive Louisiana State Museum.
Day 8 - Day 7 Oak Alley, LA
Once serving as an antebellum sugar cane homestead, Oak Alley Plantation is named after its most distinguishing feature, a row of 300-year-old oak trees. This leafy canopy forms a path leading to the Mississippi River. Restored to its 19th-century grandeur, this classic Greek Revival antebellum mansion is simply breathtaking.
Day 9 - Day 8 New Orleans, LA
End your journey in the vibrant city of New Orleans, also known as the Big Easy, where art and culture abound. The open-air artist colony proudly displays local works on the iron fence in Jackson Square, while the city’s 45 museums carefully preserve its rich history. Stay an extra day or even a few nights to enjoy the famed French Quarter.

    • Enjoy J.N. Stone House Tour & Concert. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by fourth-generation owner, Joseph Stone, who will guide you on a personal tour of his unique antebellum-style home. The afternoon concludes in the music hall with wine and beverages as Mr. Stone performs an exclusive classical piano concert.
    • Discover USS Kidd. Known as the “Pirate of the Pacific,” this Fletcher-class destroyer is a memorial to the men and women that served in the American armed forces. Step back in time on this amazing tour as you witness original artifacts and aircraft from World War II.
    • Visit Frogmore Plantation. As you explore the 1,800-acre cotton plantation led by a local guide, delve into plantation life, including the housing, music, and relationships between the owners and workers.
