Day 4 - Day 4 Porto Santo/Madeira
From 12.00 to 19.00 hrsPorto Santo is an insider tip, its glittering escarpments and kilometre-wide beach earning it the nickname of the “golden island”. Discover its riches on an island tour in an all-terrain vehicle* with stunning views and fascinating geological insights. A lush biotope, the “island of eternal spring” awaits you in the Atlantic.
Day 5 - Day 5 Funchal
Arrival 7.00 hrsStarting from the capital, Funchal, explore Madeira – the flower island* and its biodiversity. Alternatively, a levada hike* will take you along the island’s famous irrigation system through a lush landscape. The HANSEATIC inspiration will stay in the port overnight. Relax and reflect on your impressions against Funchal’s evening backdrop: stroll through the little streets or mix with the islanders in the cafes of the old town. Immerse yourself in Funchal’s unique charm on a morning walk – for example, to the Mercado dos Lavradores farmers’ market.
Day 6 - Day 6 Funchal & Ilha Deserta Grande
Departure 11.00 hrs If the authorities allow, you will visit the uninhabited neighbouring island of Ilha Deserta Grande for a hike with a ranger, learning all about the endangered Mediterranean monk seal and its habitat.

From 8.00 to 0.00 hrsFeaturing a mild climate and wonderful landscapes, the Canary Islands are a popular destination, particularly in autumn. Take the opportunity to explore the old town at your own pace and stroll along the Avenida Maritima with its typical wooden balconies. Nature lovers can take a ride to the Caldera de Taburiente National Park* along breathtaking escarpments to one of the world’s largest erosion craters. A volcano hike* shows how lava tracks from past eruptions not only shape the landscape, but also provide fertile ground for growing wine.
Day 9 - Day 9 Puerto de la Estaca/El Hierro

Head for the dry, rugged and volcanic interior when you explore the “wild west” in a jeep*. The archipelago’s cultural capital can be found on Sao Vicente.
