Vessel Type: Sailing Ship Length: 216 feet / 65.8 meters Passenger Capacity: 16 (12 cabins) Built / Refit: 1997 / 2006 The Mary Anne is the perfect ship for those who love to travel by sail. She has 1,000 m2 of canvas sails with which she majestically takes to the waves. This precious 3-masted barquentine, the only one of its kind in the islands, can accommodate up to 16 guests in her 4 double and 8 single cabins. All cabins have private bathrooms with hot water and are designed with 1 double lower berth and a single upper berth. She also features 2 double cabins with lower berths. Accommodations and Facilities: All guest accommodations are located on the cabin deck. The main deck is complete with the dining room, kitchen, library and entertainment center. On the sun deck you will find open-air seating, kayaks, storage, the bridge and plenty of space for taking in the beautiful sights. The vessel features a wood-paneled, comfortable lounge area with a cozy bar and ample sun decks as well as deck seating. The nine crew members and naturalist guide are on board assure you a high-end experience.

Itinerary



Day 1 - DAY 1 MORNING FLIGHT TO BALTRA - HIGHLANDS & FAUSTO LLERENA BREEDING CENTER
After arriving at Baltra airport, we will be greeted by an AngermeyerCruises representative and then board a bus that will take us to theHighlands of Santa Cruz Island for our first visit in the Galapagos. TheHighlands are lush and green in contrast to the arid coastal vegetation. Thehighland forests are dominated by the endemic Scalesia tree and are hometo many bird species, including the short-ear owl. Here, we will have lunchat a local ranch while looking for the famous giant tortoises, which are inconstant migration from the highlands to the coast. After lunch, we willhead to Puerto Ayora for our second visit, the Fausto Llerena TortoiseBreeding Center.In the breeding center, we will see tortoises from different islands. Theanimals are found in large semi natural pens for their protection, but alsoto ensure an easy view for the tourists. The pens are divided according tofour different stages: eggs, neonates, juveniles (held here until they aremature enough to be "repatriated"), and adults.
Day 2 - DAY 2 PUNTA CORMORANT, DEVIL´S CROWN & POST OFFICE BAY
AMWe spend the day on Floreana, legendary homestead of infamous BaronessEloise Von Wagner de Bousquet. Wet landing onto the olivine beaches ofPunta Cormorant, where we will be seeking Greater Flamingos on thebrackish lagoon on our way to another special beach with the finest sandyou’ll set foot on, a sea turtle nesting ground where sharks and rays also visitregularly. We end the outing with a short panga ride to snorkel in the Devil’sCrown, an old volcanic crater and a key snorkeling site.PMAfter lunch, we will visit Post Office Bay (wet landing), where you can dropyour postcards in the barrel as the whalers did centuries ago and select cardsto hand deliver when you return home.
Day 3 - DAY 3 BLACK BEACH, ASILO DE LA PAZ & FULL AFTERNOON NAVIGATION
AMThis morning we will visit Floreana Island´s BlackBeach to learn about the intriguing human history ofthe island and its first inhabitants.We will visit this fresh water source known as Asilode La Paz, as well as the caves that served ashideouts for pirates and where the firstGalapegueño was born, according to the stories ofFloreana, which involve the infamous BaronessEloise Wagner von Bousquet and her lovers whomysteriously began to disappear after settling onthe island.PMAfter our visit, we will have the best opportunity fora not‐so‐common yet well-beloved activity in thearchipelago, a full afternoon navigation to look forwhales and dolphins. This afternoon is completed bythe impressive landscapes of Isabela and the CerroAzul volcano.
Day 4 - DAY 4 PUNTA MORENO & URBINA BAY
AMWe arrive at Isabela, the largest island in the Galapagos.After breakfast, we step ashore at Punta Moreno (drylanding) onto a superb pahoehoe lava flow surroundedby giant shield volcanoes, some of which are still active!From here we will do a short hike to a lagoon whereflamingos are usually present.PMWe disembark at Urbina Bay (wet landing) onto a blacksand beach, a nesting site for green sea turtles. We takea brief hike inland in search of land iguanas and gianttortoises (seasonal) that migrate to and from thehighlands.At the beach, we will admire the remains of a geologicaluplift exposing coral heads and marine fossils, and if thesea conditions and time are on our side, we will alsosnorkel in these waters.
Day 5 - DAY 5 TAGUS COVE & PUNTA ESPINOSA
AMDry landing near Tagus Cove, a historical pirate hideawaywhere names of countless ships are recorded for posterityon the cliff face. Hike through beautiful Galapagoslandscapes to Darwin Lake, a salt‐water crater lagoonsurrounded by tuff stone.PMWe cross Bolivar Channel to Fernandina Island, one of theworld’s most pristine sites, and disembark (dry landing) atPunta Espinosa.Strolling along the shoreline, we will be on the lookout forflightless cormorants, Galapagos sea lions, Galapagospenguins and hawks, sooty‐colored marine iguanas andbright red‐orange Sally Lightfoot crabs.
Day 6 - DAY 6 PUERTO EGAS, BUCANEER´S COVE & ESPUMILLA BEACH
AMAt Puerto Egas (wet landing) we disembark on a dark sandvolcanic beach with an interesting history of humansettlement. Sleepy Galapagos fur seals lounge under archesof lava carved by the ocean and occasionally dip into thecrystalline pools, also known as “grottos.” Walk along theshore and observe the abundant marine life.PMAt Buccaneer Cove we will take a panga ride around thebeautiful coastline. This place got its name because it usedto be a refuge for British Buccaneers, which anchored hereto collect supplies and clean their ships among otheractivities. The cove is very scenic with views of the cliffs anda dark beach. Do not forget to look for two unusual rockformations known as ‘the monk’ and ‘elephant rock.’We head to central Santiago to disembark at Espumilla (wetlanding), onto a golden‐colored sand beach, used by greensea turtles as a nesting site.A forest trail will take us through some of the largestspecimens of Palo Santo on the islands to observe yellowwarblers, the amazing Galapagos flycatcher, and Darwinfinches.
Day 7 - DAY 7 SULLIVAN BAY & NORTH SEYMOUR
AMWe head across to Sullivan Bay (dry landing) in Santiago towalk over a recent lava flow, including very fresh pahoehoelava formations, lava bubbles containing crystallizedminerals and pioneer plants. Along the shoreline, we mayfind Galapagos penguins and herons going after small fish.PMWe disembark on North Seymour (dry landing), a smalluplifted island, where we will walk right up to bird nestingcolonies of the two species of frigate birds, blue‐footedboobies, and swallow-tailed gulls, and experience,depending on the season, spectacular mating ritual displays.
Day 8 - DAY 8 MOSQUERA ISLET & DEPARTURE
AMMosquera is a small islet located between Baltra and NorthSeymour Islands and measuring about 160 meters acrossand 600 meters long. It is home to one of the largest sea lioncolonies and is also a haven for shorebirds. Orcasoccasionally come to the islet to feed on the sea lions.After this visit, the ship will sail to Baltra where passengersending their trip will disembark, and passengers beginningtheir cruise will join us on board.
