Guests are able to take advantage of a number of lavish vantage points including a sundeck, a forward observation lounge, a ship’s lounge and an alfresco bar. The ship’s naturalist presents interpretative information on plasma screens and, an internet café enables convenient communication with the outside world. A popular venue on any North Star cruise, the lower deck dining room offers the ultimate in comfort and uninterrupted vista – large panoramic windows ensure that guests never miss any of the action, even when they are enjoying the ‘finest in fine dining’. All cabins feature stylish décor, en-suite facilities, in-house entertainment and satellite telephones. The Explorer Class staterooms and the River Class cabins offer king size beds that can be converted to singles and the Ocean Class twins feature roomy single beds. Multiple expedition boats provide guests with greater opportunity to do “what they want, when they want” and, to add yet another dimension to adventure, most cruise options feature an onboard helicopter!The purpose built TRUE NORTH is able to explore the upper reaches of shallow river systems – guests need only step out of their cabins to experience wilderness and, the latest in computer controlled motion stabilizers ensures a comfortable ride. TRUE NORTH II TRUE NORTH II features a more intimate experience with just 22 guests and a combined saloon/lounge. The dining salon features a stunning ‘boardroom’ setting and the revered True North dining experience. There is also a sundeck, outdoor bar deck and a dedicated sports deck. All cabins feature ensuite or private facilities with in-house entertainment and satellite telephones. The Explorer Class staterooms and River Class cabins offer queen-size bedsand the Ocean Class cabins feature roomy bunk-configured singles. Just like the TRUE NORTH – TRUE NORTH II is purpose-built to explore coastal areas including the upper reaches of shallow river systems – guests need only step out of their cabins to experience wilderness. But the adventure doesn't stop there! Itinerary



Day 1 - Day 01 Welcome Aboard
Your adventure begins in Darwin where we’ll collect you from your hotel for a chartered flight to Ambon in West Papua. Enjoy a welcome cocktail as you board the magnificent True North and begin your journey to the Banda Islands.
Day 2 - Day 02 Banda Islands
Traditional war canoes will lead us into Banda Harbour, followed by a guided tour of Banda Neira Island. Enjoy a scenic boat tour or snorkel and dive on the sunken lava flow. End the day watching the sunset with a cocktail at Fort Belgica, overlooking the active volcano Gunung Api.
Day 3 - Day 03 Fak Fak Coast
Explore the Fak Fak Coast, starting with a fishing trip to the Bomberai Peninsula or a scenic tour through hidden lagoons with snorkeling and diving. Swim under the beautiful Mommon Waterfall, then visit Sebakor Bay’s water-filled caves. Finish the day with cheese and wine on board.
Day 4 - Day 04 The Four Kings (Raja Ampat)
Snorkel and dive on vibrant reefs at the SE Misool Marine Park, home to stunning soft corals and schools of fish. Visit the Wayilbatan Channel and Nudi Rock for breathtaking underwater scenery. Enjoy an afternoon visit to Misool Eco Resort followed by a sunset cocktail at Kalig Beach.
Day 5 - Day 05 Misool Island
Discover the rich marine life and sea fans surrounding Misool Island. Hike up Harfat Peak for panoramic views over the Karst islands and turquoise lagoons. Later, explore the sacred Tomolol cave system and picturesque Karst Islands.
Day 6 - Day 06 Cape KRI
Trek through Sawingkrai Village's jungle to see the magnificent red bird of paradise. Snorkel and dive at Cape KRI, then glide through the Wallace Channel, surrounded by vibrant marine life and jungle filled with birds and orchids.
Day 7 - Day 07 Wofoh Island
Enjoy a morning dive in the black coral forest or relax on Wofoh Island’s white sand beaches. Later, explore Bougainville Strait where manta rays often gather. In the afternoon, snorkel across the equator and enjoy more fishing, snorkeling, or sightseeing.
Day 8 - Day 08 Fam Island
Visit the village of Fam and explore Penemu Island for snorkeling, diving, and beachcombing. Climb the 300 steps of Pianemo Island for spectacular panoramic views of the Karst Islands.
Day 9 - Day 09 The Wayags
Snorkel in the Wayag Archipelago’s lagoons and visit the Wayag Research Station to swim with blacktip reef sharks. End the day with a celebratory True North Equator Party.
Day 10 - Day 10 The Wayag Beach Party
Spend the day snorkeling, diving, and exploring the Wayag islands. Enjoy a world-class picnic at the Wayag Beach Party, surrounded by pristine beaches and the Papuan jungle.
Day 11 - Day 11 The Wayag Drift Snorkel
Glide through the waters of Wayag Islands on a serene drift snorkel over vibrant coral reefs. Float along with the tide as you explore the stunning underwater world of tropical fish and corals.
Day 12 - Day 12 Mapia Atoll
Visit the remote Mapia Atoll, known for its vertical coral walls and thriving marine life. Enjoy snorkeling, diving, and fishing in this rarely visited tropical paradise.
Day 13 - Day 13 Ayu Atoll
Snorkel and dive at Ayu Atoll’s crystal-clear waters, home to large pods of dolphins, wahoo, sailfish, and tuna. Visit the village of Reni for a glimpse of local life.
Day 14 - Day 14 Return to Darwin
Enjoy breakfast on board before a private car transfer to Biak Airport and your chartered flight back to Darwin.
