Itinerary

Travelling by sea is a fantastic way to explore, but it brings some challenges when weather conditions are not ideal. The itinerary may be subject to change, based on winds and sea conditions which may render anchorage and landing at some stops difficult. We reserve the right to change the itinerary for the safety of passengers and the ship. Shore excursions are subject to shore and weather conditions and are based on a minimum participation. Each days' schedule will be posted by the cruise co-ordinator listing necessary information such as arrival/departure times, meal times, days activities and other information. This is given as a guideline and is subject to change.

Day 1 - Dubrovnik
Welcome to Dubrovnik, Croatia. Your luggage can be dropped off at this ship from noon, so feel free to explore Split at your leisure before boarding commences at 5 pm, when you’ll meet your fellow travellers for a welcome meeting and safety briefing. This evening, sit down to your first group dinner on board before overnighting in port.
Day 2 - Korcula
After breakfast on board, enjoy a mid-morning swim stop in the beautiful clear turquoise waters of Loviste in the Peljesac peninsula. Return to the ship and set sail for Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo, with lunch on the way. This afternoon, join your leader for an orientation tour of the town. This evening you’ll be spoiled for choice with many restaurants overlooking the waterfront – ask your leader for their recommendations. Overnight in the port of Korcula.
Day 3 - Korcula to Opuzen
Depart for Opuzen, enjoying breakfast on board and a mid-morning swim stop in beautiful clear turquoise waters near the small island of Badija, then continue on to Trpani. Transfer to Matusko winery for a tour of the vineyard and a tasting, before returning to the ship and sailing up the River Neretva to Opuzen. Tonight, enjoy a deck BBQ on the Peregrine Dalmatia.
Day 4 - Mostar
Embrace an early start this morning to make your way to Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina by minibus. Take a guided walk through the town, visiting a workshop specialising in traditional coffee sets and copper wall carvings on the way and enjoy some free time to explore the town and have lunch at your leisure. Return to Opuzen in the early afternoon when you will jump into small wooden boats for a leisurely cruise through the surrounding wetlands (with local snacks and music on board). End up at a beautiful local restaurant overlooking the water for Peka lamb and other local dishes. Board the boats to return to Opuzen. Tonight, you may want to venture out to one of the friendly bars around the town square to meet the locals over a beer or two.
Day 5 - Hvar
Set sail for the island of Hvar, enjoying breakfast on board. Stop to swim in the waters of the Adriatic at a secluded beach close to Stari Grad - Hvar's old town. Arrive in Stari Grad around midday and look across one of Europe's oldest towns while lunching on board the Dalmatia. Next, take a bus to explore the island known as the 'Queen of the Dalmatian Islands'. Visit a nearby farm and try local produce before enjoying a walk through the nearby lavender fields. Afterwards, drive to Hvar town for an orientation walk with your leader, then enjoy free time to explore. Return to Stari Grad and dine at a local restaurant of your choosing. Overnight in Hvar (Stari Grad).
Day 6 - Hvar to Split
Spend the morning sailing, arriving in Split in the early afternoon. Meet a local guide who will take you on a walk around Split – explore the laneways and squares that make up the beautiful old town and hear the stories of conquerors and sieges – then enjoy lunch at your leisure in one of the old town's lovely al fresco eateries followed by free time.
Day 7 - Split and Krka National Park
After a leisurely breakfast on board, head out with some more time to explore the Split’s old city. After lunch, return to the boat ready to take your private bus transfer to Krka National Park. Here you will board a small boat for some cruising and exploring within the park. The park spans two thirds of the Krka River, and some 142 square kilometres. Visit some of the gorgeous waterfalls for which this park is renowned, stopping for a refreshing swim or two along the way. Afterwards, return by bus to Split, in time for a captain's dinner onboard.
Day 8 - Split
Today is a free day to enjoy Split at your own pace. You may like to find a harbourside café along the marina or simply find a beach to pull up a towel and spend the day swimming and sunbaking – it’s up to you! Later in the afternoon, board the ship and join your crew on welcoming any new travellers who may be accompanying you on the next stage of your adventure. You will have another briefing on board, usually around 5 pm to detail what’s to come. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner as the sun sets on another day.
Day 9 - Vis
Set off early and cruise towards Vis. Along the way, get you first taste of relaxed island life with a swim stop. Take a dip in refreshing Adriatic Sea, then continue to Vis. In 1944, the island was declared a military zone and foreigners were barred until 1989. Because of this isolation, Vis has retained its charm and laidback lifestyle. Go ashore and enjoy a walking tour through Vis town, taking in sights of faded 17th-century houses. Enjoy a free afternoon and evening in town. Perhaps embrace island life further and enjoy a seafood dinner at one of the many restaurants with ocean views.
Day 10 - Vis
Sail today for Bisevo Island. At an unassuming cave entrance, transfer to small boats and cruise inside the illuminated grotto. Sunlight reacts with the limestone in the cave to create a bright blue glow inside the cave. Return to Vis and dock in Komiza. In the afternoon head underground for a tour of the tunnels that lie beneath the picturesque Croatian island. The tunnel system is left over from Vis’ time as a Yugoslav military zone. Your evening is free for you to do as you please in Komiza. As the ship is docked in Vis town, complimentary transport will be provided this evening to return.
Day 11 - Lastovo
Arrive early at Lastovo Island and shake off the sleep with a refreshing swim. Despite be just as beautiful, Lastovo fails to draw the tourism crowds (and dollars) that many of Croatia’s other islands enjoy. With an ageing population of fewer than 1000 people, spending time and money in Lastovo is directly beneficial to the locals. Today, enjoy a wine tasting and nibble on local delicacies at one such local winery. The rest of your day is totally open, so maybe grab a towel and book and relax on one of the island’s many pristine beaches.
Day 12 - Miljet
Cruise to Mljet, perhaps stopping for a swim en route. Explore the karst valleys, inky blue lakes and pine forests of Mljet National Park. Discover the ruins of an Illyrian fortification, a Roman palace and a fifth-century church among nature. The vessel will be docked overnight at Pomena, a small harbour village on the western side of Mljet. As night falls, enjoy a performance from an acapella group on board. Dinner tonight will be a barbecue of local produce on deck, the perfect place to do some stargazing with a drink in hand.
Day 13 - Slano
Cruise to Slano, arriving around midday. Disembark and transfer by coach to Ston. Visit the vast salt fields framed by mountains on the traditional Adriatic Sea salt farms. Continue to Mali Ston, famed for its oyster beds. These oyster farms supply restaurants throughout the region, meaning you may have already tried some of these succulent beauties during your trip. Spend the evening at port in Slano. Enjoy a Captain’s dinner tonight on board.
Day 14 - Dubrovnik
Cruise to Dubrovnik, stopping for a dip en route. Dock and transfer to the Old Town. Take a tour of the city walls, following the famous fortifications with a local guide to explain their history. Enjoy a free afternoon and evening in Dubrovnik. The main pedestrian promenade, once a shallow sea channel, is now paved with glistening white limestone, in stark contrast to the warm red terracotta roofs. It is hard to imagine a more beautiful city.
Day 15 - Dubrovnik
Your Croatian cruise comes to an end when you disembark after breakfast.
