Itinerary

Day 1 - Day 1 Marseille, France
Departure 7:00 pmMarseille is the oldest and second largest city in France boasting the country's most important port and is like an enormous amphitheater on the Golfe du Lion looking out to the Mediterranean. Europeans and Africans have rubbed shoulders here for over 2600 years and the cultures mix like the different fish in a Bouillabaisse. With its imposing town houses, 'La Canebière' is the central boulevard leading to the old port where a lively fish market takes place every day. Marseille is a town in flux: The notorious old district of Panier has long since been cleaned up, and in 1995, the multicultural metropolis saw work begin on Euroméditerranée, the largest urban development project in Europe. Marseille was the European Capital of Culture in 2013.
Day 2 - Day 2 St. Tropez, France
Arrival 1:30 pm, Departure 11:00 pmIn the 19th century, artists discovered this picturesque fishing village on the Côte d'Azur and made it their source of inspiration. They were followed by the aristocracy and moneyed classes, and around fifty years ago St. Tropez gained its international reputation as a refuge for the rich and famous. You can still find them today, in elegant Port Grimaud with its luxurious yachts from all over the world; in the upmarket bars and restaurants that line the promenade; on the elegant boulevards; in high class shops; or at the sophisticated beach clubs. Even with all these distinguished guests, St. Tropez has still managed to preserve its picturesque and sleepy atmosphere.
Day 3 - Day 3 Calvi, Corsica
Arrival 2:00 pm, Departure 11:00 pmCalvi has something enjoyable to suit every taste. Romantics can take a walk through the old town and the view from the fortified walls is not to be missed. A stroll through the town's streets brings you to the colorful, lively lower town with its bars and exclusive cafés. Anyone who enjoys a walk on the sand will love the town's long beach. To the east, sheltered by the highest mountains in Corsica, a lush green wild garden has grown around Calvi, filled with olive groves and orange trees. In the La Balagne region in the interior, you can discover hidden picturesque villages which show you the traditional side of Corsica and, displaying the idiosyncratic pride on the island, there is scarcely a road sign that is not written in the Corsican language.
Day 4 - Day 4 Day under full sails
Climbing the rigging, untying ropes, setting sails – today is all about sailing. Time to lean back and relax in the deck chair and watch the passionate crew hoisting the sails by hand.
Day 5 - Day 5 Portovenere, Italy
Arrival 8:00 am, Departure 11:00 pmEven though Portovenere is not officially one of the colorful villages of the Cinque Terre, it is, like its pretty Ligurian sisters, part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The name of the pretty little harbor town is derived from the goddess of love Venus, who is said to have risen from the sea here. The mighty Castello Doria towers above the medieval seaside resort with its colorfully painted houses. With its fortress wall, in which the church of San Pietro is embedded, it bears witness to the fact that the harbor once served as a military outpost for La Spezia, some twelve kilometers away.
Day 6 - Day 6 Livorno, Italy & Livorno, Italy
Arrival 8:00 amLivorno, itself a child of the Renaissance, is the gateway to Tuscany – the land of cypresses, the Italian lifestyle, art and architecture. Lucca is a Renaissance masterpiece. Magnificent palaces, richly decorated churches and elegant piazzas where you can see the Italians enjoying the summer – this jewel of a town combines the magnificence of typical Tuscan architecture with small town charm. Siena is one of the most beautiful Italian Gothic cities. Its old quarter, like the medieval towers of the world-famous walled town of San Gimignano, is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.Departure 07:00 pmLivorno, itself a child of the Renaissance, is the gateway to Tuscany – the land of cypresses, the Italian lifestyle, art and architecture. Day 7 - Day 7 Portoferraio, Elba
Arrival 1:30 pm, Departure 7:00 pmAlthough Elba is only a small Tuscan island, you will be surprised by how diverse it is. Imposing cliffs, white sandy beaches, avenues of cypresses, vineyards and olive groves, traditional villages and elegant beach resorts make the place of Napoleon's exile somewhere you would in fact like to be banished for longer. The beautiful old town of Portoferraio with its narrow streets of steps and medieval fortress is set high up on a rocky headland. In the enchanting town of Porto Azzurro, the palm-lined promenades, charming piazzas and small beach are at the center of the town's activities.
Day 8 - Day 8 Viareggio, Italy
Arrival 8:00 am, Departure 7:00 pmSome decisions are really not easy in Viareggio. On the one hand, the traditional seaside resort on the Liguarian Sea offers all the pleasures of an Italian vacation with small ice cream parlors, long sandy beaches and a promenade for strolling. On the other hand, there is charming Lucca, which is only about half an hour away. In Giacomo Puccinis birthplace, you can stroll along the city walls in the shade of old plane trees. And in the almost car-free center, an opulent panorama of Roman alleys, churches and domes, wide squares and proud palaces opens up.
Day 9 - Day 9 Portofino, Italy
Arrival 8:00 am, Departure 1:30 pmPortofino has a prominent position on a peninsula on the Italian Riviera and, since the 1950s, has developed into an elegant marina. The "dolce vita" seems to have been born here. You can unwind in classy bars and cafés in front of beautifully restored facades, browse for treasures in the backstreets and observe the comings and goings on the port's promenade. At first glance, Portofino is a picturesque fishing village. However, you will soon notice that it is also a sophisticated retreat for exclusive megayachts, as well as a great hideaway for anyone who knows how to enjoy the charming and stylish traditional atmosphere.
Day 10 - Day 10 Monte Carlo, Monaco
Arrival 8:00 amThe sophisticated Monegasque city state between Italy and France is one of the world's most exclusive addresses. Its densely packed buildings extend up the rocky coastline and gaze out over a gloriously azure sea, with three marinas where spectacular luxury yachts sway on the waves. In the center, set high up, is the beautiful old city of Monaco-Ville with the splendid Prince's Palace, cathedral and Oceanographic Museum of Jacques Cousteau. In the center of Monte Carlo you can find the famous casino, a beautiful Belle Epoque building, and the palatial opera house.
