Guests are able to take advantage of a number of lavish vantage points including a sundeck, a forward observation lounge, a ship’s lounge and an alfresco bar. The ship’s naturalist presents interpretative information on plasma screens and, an internet café enables convenient communication with the outside world. A popular venue on any North Star cruise, the lower deck dining room offers the ultimate in comfort and uninterrupted vista – large panoramic windows ensure that guests never miss any of the action, even when they are enjoying the ‘finest in fine dining’. All cabins feature stylish décor, en-suite facilities, in-house entertainment and satellite telephones. The Explorer Class staterooms and the River Class cabins offer king size beds that can be converted to singles and the Ocean Class twins feature roomy single beds. Multiple expedition boats provide guests with greater opportunity to do “what they want, when they want” and, to add yet another dimension to adventure, most cruise options feature an onboard helicopter!The purpose built TRUE NORTH is able to explore the upper reaches of shallow river systems – guests need only step out of their cabins to experience wilderness and, the latest in computer controlled motion stabilizers ensures a comfortable ride. TRUE NORTH II TRUE NORTH II features a more intimate experience with just 22 guests and a combined saloon/lounge. The dining salon features a stunning ‘boardroom’ setting and the revered True North dining experience. There is also a sundeck, outdoor bar deck and a dedicated sports deck. All cabins feature ensuite or private facilities with in-house entertainment and satellite telephones. The Explorer Class staterooms and River Class cabins offer queen-size bedsand the Ocean Class cabins feature roomy bunk-configured singles. Just like the TRUE NORTH – TRUE NORTH II is purpose-built to explore coastal areas including the upper reaches of shallow river systems – guests need only step out of their cabins to experience wilderness. Day 1 - Night 01 Adventure Begins
Begin your adventure with a short flight in a chartered private jet to the seaside village of Madang in Papua New Guinea. Settle into your cabin aboard your floating boutique hotel and enjoy a welcome refreshment as we set sail for Vitu Islands.
Day 2 - Day 01 Vitu Islands and Garove Island
Start the day with a visit to a traditional village on Vitu Island, where you’ll experience vibrant dance performances and sample local delicacies. Sail to Garove Island’s sunken volcanic caldera for snorkeling or sports fishing, and finish the day with a scenic heli flight offering breathtaking views.
Day 3 - Day 02 Kimbe Peninsula
Explore the extraordinary marine biodiversity of the Kimbe Peninsula with a guided boat tour through lush rainforests. In the afternoon, dive into the vibrant waters of Kimbe Bay or enjoy world-class sports fishing, followed by a heli flight over the peninsula’s dramatic coastline and volcanic peaks.
Day 4 - Day 03 Kimbe Bay and Baia Sports Fishing Lodge
Head to Baia Sports Fishing Lodge for an exhilarating day of sports fishing. Challenge yourself by catching the powerful Black Bass or explore the jungle and reefs. Relax at the lodge with a cold drink and a stunning sunset view after your adventures.
Day 5 - Day 04 Mount Tavurvur and Rabaul WWII Tour
Trek to the base of Mount Tavurvur, one of Papua New Guinea’s most active volcanoes, and explore Rabaul’s wartime history, including Japanese tunnels and historic WWII sites. End the day with a tranquil cruise around Simpson Harbour.
Day 6 - Day 05 Tavalo
Experience a traditional sing-sing ceremony in Tavalo, then explore the village and its gardens, learning about the Tolai people’s connection to the land. End the day with a farewell feast shared with the villagers under the stars.
Day 7 - Day 06 Gasmata and Ampul Island Group
Discover Gasmata’s remote beaches and historical sites before sailing to the Ampul Island group for world-class snorkeling and diving. Enjoy sunset drinks on a secluded beach to cap off your day.
Day 8 - Day 07 Waku and Arawe Island Group

Day 9 - Day 08 Popondetta and the Embi Lakes

Day 10 - Day 09 The Fiords of Cape Nelson
Cruise through the majestic fiords of Cape Nelson, navigating narrow channels with towering cliffs and turquoise waters. After a guided hike along the rugged coastline, enjoy morning tea with panoramic views before returning to your ship for an evening cruise.
Day 11 - Day 10 Alotau

Day 12 - Day 11 Return to Cairns
 After breakfast, transfer to the airport in Alotau for your charter flight back to Cairns. We’ll already be looking forward to our next adventure together!
