Meet us in Boston, then make sail for Bath, ME, where 19th century brick buildings and sidewalks add appeal to what has been called one of New England’s best small city destinations. Next is Rockland, a classic Maine town that just happens to be the lobster capital of the world. Need we say more? Then we’re on to enchanting Eastport with a population under 1,400 residents. Keep an eye on the shoreline for some other residents—harbor seals and bald eagles.

Crossing into Canadian waters, you may be greeted by barking seals at Saint Andrews By The Sea, NB. See why this resort has been charming travelers since the 1880s. Our coastal journey takes us to Grand Manan, largest of the Fundy Islands, and the location of the world’s highest tides.

Back in Maine, we’ll anchor in Bar Harbor. Admire the striking beauty of Acadia National Park with an optional bus tour that stops at Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, and either Sieur De Monts Spring or Jordan Pond House.

Lively Portland, ME, features the best of old and new in its culture, shops and dining experiences. And then, it’s back to Boston where our adventure began. Disembark feeling enriched by the experiences, sights and sounds you can’t wait to tell about.

Vessel Type: Small Ship Length: 184 feet Passenger Capacity: 88 (in twin Cabins) Built/Refurbished: 1997/2009 Built by in Warren, RI, and commissioned in 1997, the Grande Caribe carries 88 passengers everywhere from Belize to Baltimore. She was completely renovated in 2009, with new furniture and décor in the lounge, cabins and dining rooms, and sparkling new showers and bathrooms. So whether you find yourself chatting under the glimmering canopy lights of the top deck, or enjoying a lazy morning in your cabin, the Grande Caribe was built with you in mind.

Day 1 - Day 1 Boston, MA
Metropolitan Boston, welcomes you to its streets steeped with history and hometown pride. Walk the Freedom Trail in Downtown Boston were every path leads to a different moment in history. The scene of several key events in the American Revolution, this port is often considered the birthplace of the U.S. Dock just steps from Quincy Market and many other classic Boston attractions.
Day 2 - Day 2 Bath, ME
Welcome to the “City of the Ships” - Bath, ME. Located on the west bank of the Kennebec River, Bath remains a major player in the naval shipbuilding industry today. Discover the Maine Maritime Museum and experience over 400 years of shipbuilding heritage and culture. See 19th century brick buildings while exploring shops and restaurants downtown.
Day 3 - Day 3 Rockland, ME
Rockland, ME is a charming coastal town with a welcoming downtown, thriving artists’ community, and a rich history of shipbuilding.
Day 4 - Day 4 Eastport, ME
Arrive in Eastport, ME, the eastern-most city in the United States. Consisting of just 12.34 square miles of enchanting island beauty, it’s clear why the locals invite visitors to discover “The Maine Thing.”
Day 5 - Day 5 Saint Andrews by the Sea, NB
Be greeted by seals and other marine mammals as we cross into Canada! An optional excursion takes you to Roosevelt-Campobello International Park, offering postcard- perfect views of the majestic Bay of Fundy en route to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s beloved island home.
Day 6 - Day 6 Grand Manan, NB
Uncover the unique charms shaped by the world's largest tides on Grand Manan Island; the Bay of Fundy's largest island. Grand Manan is a hub for all kinds of wildlife. Here, you will have the opportunity to observe diverse species of birds and the gentile giants of the ocean. Keep your eyes peeled for whales in the distance.
Day 7 - Day 7 Eastport, ME
Nestled between Cobscook Bay and Passamaquoddy Bay, arrive in Eastport. An optional guided tour of the town acquaints you with the remarkable Old Sow Whirlpool and historic Raye’s Mustard Mill.
Day 8 - Day 8 Bar Harbor, ME
Before the 1947 fire, some of America’s most affluent families owned summer homes in Bar Harbor. The properties of some of these notable individuals - from the Rockefellers to the Vanderbilts - still exist throughout town. If you are up for an adventure, take a trip to Acadia National Park for a scenic view atop the tallest mountain on the U.S. Atlantic Coast.
Day 9 - Day 9 Portland, ME
Arrive in Portland, the largest city in Maine. Soak up the sea breeze and explore local shops, as you watch fishermen bring in the catch of the day. Enjoy a picturesque view of the Portland Harbor inside the Portland Head Light, the oldest lighthouse in Maine.
Day 10 - Day 10 Boston, MA
Head back to where the adventure started in Boston, MA.
