Day 4 - Day 4 Ile Royale/Iles du Salut/French Guiana
Wandering along fine sandy beaches, gazing out at the turquoise sea from the shade of a palm tree, diving with colourful shoals of fish – the Caribbean is one of our planet’s most impressive island paradises. This adventurous world of exotic beauty conceals numerous wonders and stories, from sunken pirate ships to rare natural treasures. Take Ile Royale, for example: once used as a penal colony, the “royal island” attracted Hollywood’s attention in the 1970s.

Day 6 - Day 6 Bridgetown/Barbados
Arrival 14.00 hrsThe scenery of Bridgetown is truly cinematic: take a sunset catamaran ride* past the sandy beaches lined with luxurious villas. In the old town, ornate and colourful buildings bear witness to the history of the British colony. As well as touring the UNESCO World Heritage Site, a jeep tour and hike in the Welchman Hall Gully* is well worth the effort. The open-top jeep will take you to Bathsheba beach, where free-standing rocks form natural sculptures. In the island’s interior, you might be lucky enough to spot the green monkeys that live in a deep gorge full of tropical vegetation. Other stunning facets of the island will be revealed on a scenic journey on Barbados*: starting at the sophisticated yacht club, this varied tour will take you to the historic watchtower at Gun Hill Signal Station and to Farley Hill National Park. Located in dense jungle and surrounded by exotic plants, the ruins of a manor house tell of life on the former plantation.
Day 7 - Day 7 Bridgetown
Departure 18.00 hrs
Day 8 - Day 8 Mayreau/St. Vincent and the Grenadines
The smallest of the inhabited Grenadines islands invite you to explore picturesque bays: Mayreau may have only one road, but it is surrounded by numerous golden beaches. Anyone looking to relax in the ocean will find their haven in the east of this beautiful island: here, where the Caribbean Sea shimmers in shades of blue and colourful fish, turtles and rays gather along coral reefs, you can explore the Tobago Cays on a motorised catamaran*. Protected by the Horse Shoe Reef, the view of the archipelago could have been taken from a painting.
Day 9 - Day 9 Soufriere/St. Lucia
Just as picturesque are the forested volcanic peaks of Gros Piton and Petit Piton on St. Lucia, with the town of Soufriere nestled at their feet. Take a helicopter flight over St. Lucia* and explore this fascinating world of sulphur springs, lush tropical plants and mineral baths. Nature lovers will be in their element with a view of Marigot Bay and the colourful fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries. A flight over the imposing Gros Piton is the perfect finishing touch. During a hike on the Pitons*, you will explore St. Lucia’s landmark on secluded paths that ascend almost 800 m (2,624 ft) and offer breathtaking panoramic views of the island.
Day 10 - Day 10 Terre de Haut/Iles des Saintes/Guadeloupe
Overwhelmed by this spectacular landscape, your gaze will be drawn to the distant Terre de Haut, your next destination: with its hidden bays of turquoise water, the island – part of the Iles des Saintes – has an almost magical feel. A walk through the idyllic town of Le Bourg with its colourful houses, little boutiques and cafes provides an unforgettable impression of the Caribbean way of life.
Day 11 - Days 11 - 12 British Virgin Islands/Great Britain (Virgin Gorda, cruising on the Sir Francis Drake Channel, Jost Van Dyke Island)
Your cruise to the heart of the Caribbean continues on the Virgin Island of Virgin Gorda, which Christopher Columbus once compared to a reclining woman. The idyllic beach of The Baths* enchants with its beguiling charm: when you climb under the gigantic boulders through mysterious grottoes and caves, it will feel as though you are entering a remote, mystical world. As your mind resonates with these moving impressions, cruising on the Sir Francis Drake Channel will set every seafarer’s heart racing. The HANSEATIC inspiration will take its time over this wonderful passage, which is among the most beautiful in the Caribbean. The Virgin Island of Jost Van Dyke owes its name to a Dutch pirate who became one of the first Europeans to settle on the archipelago. And while he struck fear into the hearts of the people, the snow-white, fine sandy beaches of White Bay will make your heart soar.
