Friends gather round the Piano Bar and join in singing a few favorites. And in the Tropical Bar, the bartender shakes a pitcher full of some delicious cooling concoction. Now, is there anything more relaxing than this?

Clearly this is not a cruise ship in the ordinary sense. On Star Clippers, you will find that there are no rigid schedules. You are free to do as you wish with your days – and evenings. To entertain you, we bring local performers on board to give passengers an authentic taste of the local music and arts.

So rather than enduring another Broadway revue, you can enjoy the conviviality of fellow shipmates while a live band plays tropical tunes from a real paradise. The Captain and crew are superb improvisers of the kind of light-hearted fun you’ll only find on Star Clippers. The Captain’s daily briefing on deck is wonderfully informative and a chance to hear some great story-telling as well. And there are other events and activities, such as knot tying and navigation classes, that have evolved from Star Clippers’ sailing heritage. In fact, our passengers tell us that it’s the easy-going informality of Star Clippers that makes a cruise with us so enjoyable.

Star Clipper is a true clipper ship, reflecting her proud heritage in every inch of the polished brass and gleaming brightwork that graces her decks and superstructure. Step aboard this striking vessel and you’ll be greeted by a new generation of sailing culture. Here, the grand traditions of the past, which characterise what sailing is all about, exist alongside the comforts and amenities found on the contemporary cruise liners of today. Star Clipper is a modern ship through and through, welcoming luxury-loving passengers from all over the world who hold the legacy and customs of the grand era close to their hearts yet yearn for a new and exciting adventure. Life aboard is very relaxed, much like travelling on a private yacht. You’ll never feel restricted or disorientated as the staff work tirelessly to meet your needs and make you feel comfortable. AccommodationThere are six categories of generous staterooms; giving you plenty of choice when deciding which one suits you best, whilst the expansive decks give the whole ship an uncluttered feel. In fact, you’ll find that, due to the small number of passengers on board and the spacious surroundings, Star Clipper offers more outdoor space per person than most conventional cruise ships. The interior design of Star Clipper again harks back to nautical days gone by. Famous sailing ships are remembered in paintings that are hung on the walls, while teak and lustrous mahogany rails are richly reminiscent of Star Clippers’ proud maritime heritage. She has an exquisite dining room, in which you can eat when and where you like, and a convivial indoor-outdoor Tropical Bar and Piano Bar, multiple swimming pools, and an Edwardian style library where a Belle Époque fireplace glows with a warmth that reflects the friendliness and enthusiasm of Star Clippers’ hospitable officers and crew.

Day 1 - Day 1 Singapore
Singapore is a city dedicated to business. The spires of its skyscrapers look like a big bar graph pointing to the sky. It is incredibly clean and crime is virtually unknown. But amid this obsessive neatness is a madly chaotic welter of peoples and cultures, drawn to Singapore in pursuit of the almighty Singapore dollar. Get a taste of colonial Singapore at Raffles, where the Singapore Sling was invented, Emerald Hill, with its charming pavilioned pre-war homes, the Victorian botanic garden and the green lawns of the Padang Cricket Club. And lest you forget, be sure to visit Orchard Road for non-stop shopping.
Day 2 - Days 2 - 3 At sea
Each Star Clippers ship offers a traditional and elegant way to see the world. Feel the wind fill the sails and gently carry you from one gorgeous destination to the next. During your time on board, you can choose to relax on a sun lounger or cool off in one of the pools on the top deck, while more adventurous passengers may enjoy the opportunity to climb the rigging or even have a go at steering the ship. Alternatively, you can wander the interior areas of the ship and discover relaxing lounges, a revitalising spa (Royal Clipper only) and a peaceful library.
Day 3 - Days 4 - 5 Kuching, Malaysia
Kuching's historic waterfront is the perfect place to take a sunset stroll. The one-mile long promenade follows the Sarawak river. At the end you will find the 19th-century Old Court House which has been converted into a center of culture. Today the various court buildings host exhibitions, theatre, poetry reading and live music. Parallel to the waterfront are numerous coffee shops, street food stalls and shops selling tribal handicrafts.

Day 5 - Day 7 Bintulu/Tanjung Kidurong, Malaysia
Bintulu was formally a fishing village but following the discovery of large reserves of natural gas offshore in 1969 it has developed significantly and plans to be a fully industrialised city by 2020. Due to the expat population the area has plenty of bars, restaurants and nightclubs. Worthy of a visit is Taman Tumbina, a zoo which houses crocodiles and pythons. Most visitors enter the park for jungle-trekking or hill climbing. The beautiful scenery of the South China Sea awaits people who climb to the top of the hill!
Day 6 - Day 8 Miri, Malaysia
Miri, the second largest city in Sarawak, is the main tourist gateway for numerous wildlife attractions, including Niah National Park with it's fantastic caves and waterfalls. It is also known as a shoppers paradise and has many noteworthy shopping malls. Some interesting sites within and directly around Miri are the Unity Tower, Pustaka Miri, Petroleum Museum, views over Miri city from the top of Capital Hill, the San Ching Tian Temple and the Esplanade Beach at Luak Bay.
Day 7 - Day 9 Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei
Bandar Seri Begawan formally known as Brunei Town is the capital of the Sultanate of Brunei. It is host to the biggest water village in the world as well as Omar Ali Salifuddien Mosque. Which is known as one of the most peaceful and calm mosques in the world. It has a beautiful gleaming gold dome and is surrounded by colourful floral gardens. A long winding bridge leads from the mosque to a lagoon where you will have a spectacular view of the water village.
Day 8 - Day 10 Pulau Tiga, Malaysia
Tiga Island is one of a group of small uninhabited islands in Kimanis Bay off the western coast of Sabah, Malaysia. The islands were formed on 21 September 1897, when an earthquake on Mindanao caused a volcanic eruption near Borneo. There’s plenty to see and do here: spend the sunny days swimming or snorkeling in its surrounding clear waters or go kayaking. Divers can explore its underwater treasures. Pulau Tiga is also famous for its therapeutic natural volcanic mud.
Day 9 - Day 11 Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia
Kota Kinabalu or KK as it is often called is located on the island of Borneo. It boasts stunning firey sunsets, a budding arts and music scene and rich culinary offerings which span from street food to fine dining. It is also home to Kinabalu National Park which is where Mount Kinabalu stands at 13,400 feet, Malaysia's tallest peak and a mecca for climbers, jungle trekers and campers. There are numerous cultural tours, water based tours and wildlife tours on offer in the area.
