Itinerary

Travelling by sea is a fantastic way to explore, but it brings some challenges when weather conditions are not ideal. The itinerary may be subject to change, based on winds and sea conditions which may render anchorage and landing at some stops difficult. We reserve the right to change the itinerary for the safety of passengers and the ship. Shore excursions are subject to shore and weather conditions and are based on a minimum participation. Each days' schedule will be posted by the cruise co-ordinator listing necessary information such as arrival/departure times, meal times, days activities and other information. This is given as a guideline and is subject to change.

Day 1 - Board in Athens
Arrive in Athens. Greet your fellow travellers and attend a welcome and safety briefing. Boarding will begin at about 3pm and you will begin sailing at 4pm. The first leg of the trip is to sail to Sounion, where a memorable sunset dinner awaits. You dine beneath the Temple of Poseidon, the god of the sea in classical mythology. After your repast, retire for the evening as you sail overnight to Sifnos.
Day 2 - Sifnos
Arrive in Sifnos early in the morning. Allow your leader to show you around on an orientation walk of Kamares Town. Discover a thing or two about local pottery with a workshop visit and demonstration. Perhaps take the option of lunch with the group, a great chance to try the local fare served in these handmade pots. Enjoy a free afternoon and evening in Sifnos, followed by a midnight sail to Santorini.
Day 3 - Santorini
Arrive early in Santorini. Enjoy a cable car ride up to Fira, then separate into smaller groups for a tour of the island. Tour Akrotiri archaeological site and discover many Minoan frescoes and other artifacts. Take an orientation walk in Oia before an evening picnic on the caldera. Cross your fingers for clear weather, as this is a delightful spot to see the sun set. Depart at midnight for Amorgos.
Day 4 - Amorgos
After an early arrival in Amorgos, the group will divide into smaller parties for a half day island tour. This tour includes the Monastery of Hozoviotissa (Monastery of the Virgin Mary). Built into the face of a cliff, it strikes an elegant pose and gives a beautiful view of the deep blue Agean Sea. Follow this with a stop at Aegialis Beach, where there's time to swim and enjoy a barbecue on the beach. Sail overnight to Paros.
Day 5 - Paros and Mykonos
Arrive early in Paros and divide into smaller groups for a tour of the island. Sites visited include the Byzantine church complex known as Ekatontapiliani and the gorgeous villages of Lefkes, Marpissa and Naoussa. Sail on to Mykonos and acquaint yourself with its glamour and beauty on an orientation walk with your leader. Relax and unwind with free time in the evening, then stay overnight in the port.
Day 6 - Mykonos and Delos
Embark on a morning tour by boat to the ancient UNESCO listed site of Delos. Walk around and explore these awesome ruins with local guides, who explain some history and why this is one of Greece's most significant archaeological sites. Stretch your legs afterwards with a free afternoon and evening in Mykonos, where there are plenty of options to partake in the leisurely Greek island life.
Day 7 - Syros
Sail to Syros early in the morning, then take a leader-led orientation walk of Ermouppolis town. An optional hike to Ano Syros is a fine choice – your reward for hiking to the church on top of the hill is a sweeping view over the island. Those not wanting to hike, or who wish to hike one way only, can take a private transfer to Ano Syros. Your afternoon is at leisure before sitting down to a captain’s dinner. Overnight, you sail to Athens.
Day 8 - Athens
Disembark in Athens after breakfast.
