Description

Although we hope and expect to see plenty of wildlife on this expedition micro-cruise, the focus of the trip will be photography. With a maximum of just 12 passengers and with a specialist photographer/leader on board we will maximize the photo opportunities.

May is early in the season in Spitsbergen, and there will be a lot more ice and snow than later in the year, and thus much more dramatic landscapes. We plan to go ashore every day and expect to see Polar Bears, Walruses, Arctic Foxes, Svalbard Reindeer and Whales, though nothing is ever certain.

In the rare quiet moments we will have lectures from our on board Arctic expert.

NB 29th May cruise is a wildlife cruise, not photography.

Photography
The expedition is open to photographers of all levels – The photography expert helps with tips and advice on photo techniques and every evening there will be a debrief meeting designed as a forum to share tips and advice.

Togo has plenty of space on deck for everyone on board to manhandle a long lens and there is some shelter from the elements if required. Togo has two Zodiacs for cruising or going ashore. CabinsTogo has 1 double cabin (Number 4), 3 twin cabins with en-suite (Numbers 1, 2 & 3), 1 twin with shared facilities (Number 7) and 2 single cabins with shared facilities (Cabins 5 & 6).
